Hairdressing Level 2

COURSES FOR HAIRDRESSING APPRENTICES

City & Guilds Level 2 Advanced Technical Diploma in Hairdressing

As a City and Guilds approved Training Centre we offer this as a 24-month course which includes all the elements required to work effectively as a junior hairdresser. Successful candidates will achieve their Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals in Hairdressing.

If you’re 16 or older and want on-the-job training then an apprenticeship could be for you. As a hairdressing apprentice, you will be employed by a hair salon that supports you as you learn the skills to become a competent stylist.

Learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, as well as health and safety. You will learn how to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using a range of techniques, style and finish hair to create a variety of looks, and colour and lighten hair for ladies and men.

You'll also learn how to carry out consultations with clients, demonstrate the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with the role and learn how to work without supervision to a high level of precision, with exceptional client care skills.

We will also cover customer service skills, commercial skils and awareness of environmental sustainability.
